Refinement of the Senses
The sensory feedback that infants experience is what helps them to construct their understanding of the world around them. Infants learn by doing and by observing. Everything is new to them when they are born! All the scents, tastes, sights, sounds and touches that we are familiar with are brand new experiences for them. To spark this exploration in our students, we create diverse sensorial experiences with a variety of auditory materials, textured objects, calming visuals, scented containers, and plenty of taste safe materials.
